General information
Founded in 1973 by Peter Usborne, Usborne Publishing pioneered a completely new generation of entertaining, colourful and friendly non-fiction books for children. There are now over 2,500 Usborne books in print, including non-fiction, fiction, novelty and baby books; Peter was awarded an MBE for services to the publishing industry in 2011 and a London Book Fair Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
Usborne also has an extensive international publishing programme, with books published in French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese and German under the Usborne brand (with a Korean imprint launching in Autumn 2015); rights to Usborne books have been sold in over 100 languages, and our English language books are distributed worldwide.
