Residential Land was founded in 1991 by Bruce Ritchie, and has grown to own and manage a portfolio of more than 1,000 Central London properties worth an estimated £1.5 billion. In 2012 Residential Land formed a partnership with Ivanhoe Cambridge, the real estate subsidiary of one of the world’s leading pension fund managers Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec. Since then, it has been strategically releasing capital and investing in acquisitions where there is an opportunity to generate growth through enhancement and redevelopment. Diversity in the type of assets that Residential Land has acquired, since the partnership was formed, can be seen throught the portfolio.
The company focuses on London’s `Golden Post Codes’ – encompassing some of the most valuable real estate in the world. Residential Land’s strategy is to acquire existing or off-plan properties, mainly in the form of apartment blocks, and applying their asset, operational and development skills to create a fully managed PRS product.
