General information

Since 2011, we have been running our restaurant as Curry Ono, Japanese kitchen. The aim was to introduce and spread Japanese curry to UK market, which is one of the most popular dishes in Japan. After the success of selling Japanese curry, now we have decided to expand our horizons by introducing a variety of Japanese foods to the UK market.

In 2013, Japanese cuisine were registered as Unesco’s World heritage due to its natural ingredients and its natural and healthy cooking style. Sushi and tempura are just a few Japanese dishes among a variety of Japanese foods. We are proud to serve different kinds of Japanese foods to the Londoners to help them gain more knowledge about Japanese foods and enjoy healthier diets.

Kamome Shokudo, Seagull kitchen, is one of the most popular and common name of casual dining restaurants in Japan. People who pass in front of it enter it without hesitation, they simply enjoy foods in a casual manner and return often. Our aim is to recreate this experience by providing a casual dining atmosphere with opportunities for customers to enjoy Japanese foods.

Since we opened our restaurant, we have introduced the authentic taste of Japan and prepared and cooked foods in natural, healthy and homemade style, using natural ingredients and avoiding artificial favour such as MSG. Also, due to the high demand from customers, we have included many vegan, vegetarian and gluten free foods.
