Kogan Academy of Dramatic Arts is unique in having a trade-mark technique, developed by our founder Sam Kogan, renowned Russian director, acting teacher and author of the book The Science of Acting.

3 Year Acting
The course is centred upon ‘The Science of Acting’® with the addition of many other subjects relevant to professional development. With an approach rooted in the Stanislavski system we will show you the fundamentals of the craft from your first term.

Acting and Directing
We believe that if you can't act, you can't direct. That is why all students on the directing course study acting to a professional, public-performance level. The directing student will complete 15 different directing exercises beginning with a 10-second exercise and ending with a full-length play by the end of the course.

Student directors will also learn about the following principles of directing: introduction to opera and musical directing, introduction to TV and film directing, history of costume and stage design, technical drawing, sound, lighting and stage management.
