The School offers a special approach to training that combines traditional skills, such as copy-editing, proofreading, magazine sub-editing, picture researching and feature writing as well as IT-based skills. The core skills taught in the courses are applicable to the main market groups involved in publishing.

Over 5,000 people have been trained by LSP and significant numbers have obtained employment as a direct result of their training. Delegates sent to the LSP courses by their employers find they are able to progress further within their company.

LSP has an excellent reputation for its courses and offers a unique approach that balances training in traditional skills with an awareness of the impact of digital technology, the Internet and electronic publishing.

LSP offers electronic publishing courses in conjunction with Media Training Ltd. - a recognised UK market leader for publishing and Internet software training and an authorised training centre for Adobe and Quark. Courses are run at the fully-equipped training centres in central London - one in Islington and the other in Waterloo. All LSP evening classes take place in David Game House – a few seconds from Notting Hill Gate tube station. Day courses are run in the Kensington Church Street location.
