General information

In 2010 Alexander Rakita set up a new architectural practice in the heart of London’s Camden town. Camden has just the right kind of creative buzz for the team and it is proving to be an inspiring base. We have experience of working across the globe in Russia, the Middle East and Europe and it feels really good to settle ourselves here in London.

We like working on a broad range of projects – high-end residential, commercial, mixed-use and hospitality projects. The team is truly cosmopolitan and we have excellent experience of working across complex, cross-cultural contexts.

We work with some amazing clients – everybody from blue-chip corporations, City professionals, developers, prominent consultants, hotel operators and residential clients both in the UK and internationally.
London is a veritable treasure house of architectural style. We often work on complex historic buildings, collaborating with prestigious London authorities and institutions, including Grosvenor, Crown Estates and Westminster City Council.

From our London base we are doing more international work than ever. In order to enhance our service to clients we collaborate locally with our partner practices in other countries including Ireland, Russia, Serbia, Greece, Portugal, France and Latvia. You won’t be surprised to learn that in our office we speak at least seven languages.

Many of us have won awards in our previous roles and now AR Architecture has been recognised as well. In 2014 we won two prestigious awards: a European Property Award for Best Hotel Architecture in Russia (for the Hyatt Regency Rostov Don-Plaza Hotel) and the UK Property Award for Best Architecture Single Residence London (for a prestigious refurbishment project in Primrose Hill London).
