Guarding services
Oak Security Services specialise in providing highly trained security officers to the commercial, cooperate, private as well as to the public sectors, be it static, retail, construction, front of house reception, Alarm response, mobile patrol, etc.

Static Guarding

Oak Security Services offers a wide range of Manned Guarding services, including industrial, warehousing, corporate offices and construction. Manned Guarding is an excellent visual deterrent against casual theft or vandalism, both inside and outside the business.

In addition, Our Security Officers carry out regular patrols of the premises and keep records of any occurrence outside the norm to ensure your business stays safe and secure. Our Security Officers may be used for evening, weekend or out of hours cover or for daytime Reception duties. Whatever the schedule we are committed to provide as requested, all our Officers working on the premises will be fully trained and aware of any particular challenges the site may present. All our Officers are fully vetted to BS7858 and operate to the standards of the Manned Guarding Code of Practice specified by BS7499. Additionally, they are licensed by the Security Industry Authority under the terms of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 or operate within the SIA approved contractor scheme.

Retail security services

Oak Security Services specialise in providing high quality licensed security officers to the retail sector. All our officers are highly trained in the legal requirements for retail security. They also understand electronic security devices (such as Sensormatic tags) and how to utilise such systems to prevent theft or apprehend shoplifters. We offer a wide range of retail security services including door supervisors, uniformed shop-floor security officers (to deter and apprehend shoplifters), plain clothed store detectives, secret shoppers (to test customer service levels and staff honesty) as well as stockroom and head office security. All our staff are trained in incident management such as bomb threats, fire alarms and raids as well as with customer services issues such as abusive or potentially violent customers.

Construction Security

We provide qualified CSCS security officers on all our construction sites. All officers will be issued with full PPE before the contract starts with a full security audit and risk assessment being carried out. Our main aims when working on this type of contract is the security of the site (prevent squatters) protection of materials and plant, make sure all person working on site are compliant with Health and Safety regulations and prevention of out of hours Health and Safety issues and prevention of unauthorised access.

Mobile Security & Patrolling

Our Mobile Patrol service is the cost-effective, efficient alternative to the presence of a static security Officer. This service suits businesses that want to maintain a level of security and safety at their premises during evening and weekends, but do not have the requirement for a static Security Officer at these times.

With Oak Security Services all visits to the premises are computer recorded and are arranged at irregular times so avoiding a noticeable pattern that could be exploited by criminals. The Mobile Patrols therefore serves not only as a deterrent but can also be extremely helpful in the early detection of any possible issues, for example windows left open by staff or alarm malfunctions. To verify the patrols have been correctly undertaken, a patrol monitoring system is installed at the premises and reports downloaded and forwarded to clients on a regular basis. In order to ensure efficient, reliable and cost effective patrols, we undertake this service in our main service areas: London, Manchester, Birmingham and Southampton. All Oak Security Services Mobile Patrol Officers are subject to the same vetting standards, and undertake the same training, as our static security officers.

Key Holding & Alarm Response

Key Holding and Alarm Response is a simple, easy and cost-effective security solution for companies wishing to secure their premises without risking their own staff. The benefit of the service is that it removes the need for any staff to respond to an intruder alert, fire or CCTV alarm activation during the night. With our Key Holding service In the event of an intruder break-in or the activation of an alarm at your premises Oak Security Services will respond immediately, despatching one of our local units. This fully trained officer will check the premises for signs of an intruder and if a false alarm will reset the security system. In the event of a break in, they will escalate the incident to Police and a nominated member of your staff, even arrange emergency repairs if required. Our officer will remain on site until your premises are secured.

We also offer an out of hours escort service for your staff if you do not wish us to hold the keys to the premises. We will meet your member of staff at the location and check the premises with them so they are not in any danger, remaining with them until the alarm is reset and the premises are secure or in event of a break in, waiting until the Police arrive. Our Security Officers used for key holding and alarm response are 10 year vetted, fully SIA licensed and are screened in compliance with the BS7858.

Patrol Monitoring

Oak Security Services operate The Portable Electronic Sensor (PES), based on respected iButton technology this is a robust time and location capturing device capable of monitoring employee movements at predetermined locations throughout a client site or area. The PES offers an added element of control, ensuring that your employees are in the right place at the right time — a cast iron guarantee to your clients that sites are completely manned and monitored throughout the areas they require coverage for. All reports are word based so they can be e-mailed directly to our clients on a weekly, monthly or other specified time period.

Access Control Services

The control of staff and visitors is important not only for companies with high security areas, but for every organisation. Our Security Officers will control the flow of staff and visitors both inside offices (from Reception) and outside (usually from a both) on university campuses, factory sites, warehousing units, industrial parks, hospitals - anywhere where there is a large movement of people who need to be verified.

Concierge services

We also provide Security Officers for Reception duties and provide a Complete Concierge Service to a number of clients. Members of this elite team are handpicked for their Inter-personal skills, immaculate appearance and professional ability. As a result, clients know that both their public reception areas and private office space are being managed proactively and professionally. Concierge services offered include: full Reception duties, visitor screening, regulating visitor parking, managing incoming and outgoing mail, checking plant and electrical equipment as well as monitoring electrical appliances (for environmental and cost-saving) and patrolling premises, inside and outside, day and night
