Pizza Verde’s love story with authentic Italian pizza started over 30 years ago in Milano, Italy, where our Master Pizza Chef discovered the pizza making world in one of the oldest pizzerias in downtown Milano. What struck him most then with the 1st bite of the pizza was the strong smell of the olive oil and the very fresh taste of the individual ingredients on the crispy light pizza base. This was the start of an international culinary experience that culminated in Lewisham, London, and which brought together a bunch of old friends with a view of serving the same authentic virgin-olive-oil smelling Milanese (or Italian) pizza.

Armed with this vision, the ensuing market research pointed only to one product; a healthy pizza in line with the current and very rapidly evolving eating cultures of London. This gave rise to Pizza Verde’s vision of striving at all time to be the best pizza restaurant in town by serving our customers healthy pizza options in a fast and casual environment. Consequently, our humble endeavor or mission is to meet the health needs of our diverse customer-base using original and fresh Italian ingredients on nutritional pizza bases such as gluten free, spelt and brown.
