Queen's Park Gardens Wildlife Area Company Information
General information
Who We Are?
We are volunteer-group of local residents who work together on projects in Queen’s Park Gardens and other green spaces throughout our neighbourhood.
Since re-establishing in Spring-2012 we’ve helped to raise funds this Spring for new equipment in the Children’s Playground, worked with the Westminster Tree-Trust to plant new trees on Harrow Road and by the end of May are planning to have the Wildlife Area restored and back in use by local schools and children’s groups. And, of course, we support the ever-popular Queen’s Park in Bloom competition that takes place in May and June each year.
What We Do?
We have regular volunteer sessions on the second Saturday of every month and some Wednesday evenings [keep an eye on our website for the evening Wednesday dates as they tend to be a little more spontaneous!].
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a complete novice or an experienced green-fingered old hand – we need your help and you are welcome to come along and join us for as little or as long as you want – half an hour or the whole session! We have a tame horticultural expert who teaches us as we go along and you can earn Time Credits for your efforts – and there is always a chocolate break.
We look forward to meeting you soon.
