General information
WWBIC collates and manages biological information in the form of species records. Our main database holds approximately 900,000 records which are available for conservation and enhancement of biodiversity, both in our region and Wales as a whole through the network of LRCWales www.lrcwales.org.uk . We have relationships with a wide range of partners in the sector, who support us in a variety of ways; by funding, providing data and in the verification of records and our purpose is to support them by meeting their data needs, managing high quality datasets, and supporting volunteer recorders with software and data requirements.
