General information

The Award winning Cider and Perry Co are form the depths of the Wye valley. The Broome farm estate has been in the Johnson family for over 70 years, with a vast history of cider making. Surrounded by new and old orchards a like, Mike Johnson has constantly strived to plant many traditionally varieties. There are now well over 70 varieties of apple and Perry pears growing on the farm enabling the creation of unique blends and single variety ciders perrys and ciders.
The farm is a hive of busy activity all year round, from hands on cider making experiences to guided walks through the orchards at blossom time and of course the all important cider testing’s.

Concerts and Festivities
We work hard to make some of the best cider and Perry; we also like to have fun. An so During the summer months a host of events takes place in the cider barn, from Blues and folk to ceilidh’s to opera! Ending the summer of course with our 3-day cider festival. Keep an eye out for upcoming events.

Volunteer Weekends.
Fancy getting out of the city, or maybe your looking to learn how to make your own cider! We run ‘job weekends’ for volunteers to come and help us and get some fresh air. Our aim is to make the weekend enjoyable as well as giving you an insight into the making of cider and perry.
