The Footprint Trust charity was set up to reduce the 'ecological footprint' of the Isle of Wight and to promote the advantages of sustainable living. This is achieved through a number of practical projects. The Trust is recognised locally and nationally for its work in assisting those in 'fuel poverty', through practical help, guidance and training. Every year The Trust helps over 1,000 people through its various projects. The Trust has received funding from a number of grant making bodies, individual donations and business sponsorship over the past 10 years.
