Playland Day Nursery

General information

Playland Day Nursery is designed to be a home away from home for our little ones and this is the general ethos of our nursery. It is a medium sized nursery situated on Stansty Road, just off the A483, and we are open Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 6.00pm

Playland is registered for 35 children at one time and the nursery is divided into three rooms: the baby room (aged 0-15 months), the toddler room (aged 15 - 28 months) and the preschool room (aged 28 months and over). This provides each group with their own environment and allows us to plan and cater for the children according to their age and stage. We collect and receive children from school and provide afterschool care and breakfast club during term time and we also provide a fun and exciting holiday club throughout the school holidays.

Our nursery has a very spacious outside area which includes a large garden area, a soft floor play area, an outdoor classroom and a gardening/play area (including tree house and frog pond!)

All meals are provided here at Playland and we have an onsite cook who caters for all dietary requirements. Everything is home made and meets the national nutritional guidelines.

All of our staff are qualified and have been part of our team for a number of years (one member has been with us over twenty years!) The Majority of our staff have children of their own, so we have a background of experience to call upon when needed, backed up by regular staff training in First Aid, Food Hygiene, and Child Protection, as well as attending many other training opportunities offed to us by the Local Authority , to develop and enhance our skills and knowledge.

Mrs Jacqueline Ryan has been the proprietor of Playland Day Nursery since 1978. Her tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience ensures we provide an excellent standard of care for our children and staff here at Playland.
