The Rosie May Foundation is a UK based charity that works to keep families together and empower children through education to unlock their potential and escape the cycle of poverty.
Our flagship project is the Rosie May Home; a small and family orientated home where sisters age 3 to 18 years are reunited and cared for by live-in house parents. This tranquil 3-acre site provides a safe and loving home for these vulnerable young girls and aims to give them back their childhood while we work to reunite them with family where possible.
Project Hope offers single mothers at risk of losing their children the chance to receive the support necessary to bring up their children themselves, and empowers mothers through livelihoods training to ensure a brighter future for their families.
We are now also working in Nepal, bringing piped water to a village in the far west, and rebuilding a school in the Okhalungha district.
Our overseas volunteer programme simultaneously aims to give the children the opportunity to develop their English language skills and the volunteers an enriching and challenging experience both at the Rosie May Home and at our community projects in Sri Lanka and Nepal.
