Katie Ventress- Artist Blacksmith. I create hand-forged and fabricated pieces of artwork for the home and garden. During my 6 years of previous employment I have been trained in the traditional techniques of blacksmithing and in the skills of modern fabrication. This, coupled with a lifetime of practicing art and formal art education, has given me what I need to make anything I set my mind to. I am currently opening my own forge, between the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast in Hinderwell. Born in Yorkshire (West Barnby) and growing up in Sandsend and Whitby, I use our fantastic resource of natural beauty to inspire my work. Whether you are looking for a little "keep-sake" or a "one-of-a-kind", sculptural piece, I can offer practical but beautiful metalwork to suit any taste.
