hi welcome to rainbows dog grooming page..i started grooming in 1988..under the name of shampaws dog grooming.originally I worked from home but have since done mobile dog grooming and also opened my first shop in higher ince about 15 years ago..i gave my ince shop up to have children although never gave up grooming even working till the day before my baby was due.and going back to work 6 week later.
so as you can see I am very passionate about my work, I do not groom to compete with anyone, nor to show off, I groom because ...I love dogs. and they are my passion..
I currently run my business from a salon in the centre of wigan ..rainbows dog grooming..and am one of the only groomers in the area who is fully qualified gaining the city and guilds advanced grooming qualification..
i also hold the ocn level 3 animal first aid certificate,which i consider as important as any other qualification when working with animals
other qualifications include city and guilds animal care level 2 and 3 and customer care level 3.
as well as the above recognised qualifications i attend demo,s seminars and workshops regularly to keep up to date with new trends and styles.
in my spare time i show my bichons and my toy poodle, who are doing very well in the show ring and have qualified for crufts already.
at my salon we are also open plan..we have nothing to hide and you are very welcome to stay to watch your baby being groomed and have a coffee and a chat..
All the dogs and cats that we groom are treated with the utmost kindness and respect as we want grooming to be a pleasurable experience and not something to dread..
Laura my stylist is qualified city and guilds animal care, grooming route level 2 and 3, animal first aid and is booked to do her city and guilds level 3 dog grooming qualification soon.
Natasha my apprentice is doing her city and guilds animal care ,grooming route level 2 qualification and is also booked to do her city and guilds level 3 dog grooming qualification soon too.
so as you can see we do try to offer the best dog grooming around and we constantly strive to be the best we can be..come and give us a try..looking forward to seeing you soon.
