General information

Information giving is the most important way to empower women and their families to prepare for birth and early parenthood. The amount of information out there and the conflicting views often held by people and organisations can make it extremely difficult for parents-to-be to be confident in their opinions and approach.

Julia and Caroline are committed to providing information in an unbiased way and showing parents-to-be how to use it to make decisions that reflect them and what they feel is important.

Some common areas of conflict or confusion for parents are: using pain relief or not in labour, where to have your baby, bottle feeding or breast feeding, having a sleep routine for baby and importantly, how to make yourself heard when using NHS maternity services.

Although vital that parents-to-be get all the information they need, we mustn't loose the fun! Our workshops are informal and relaxed and we value and will nurture the formation of friendships with other parent with whom you can share your experiences.
