General information

There are currently 166 children on role aged between 4-11. There are 5 classes:

Class 1 - Mrs Wooldridge (Reception)
Class 2 - Mrs Dean / Mrs Divall (Y1/Y2)
Class 3 - Mrs Woods (Y2/Y3)
Class 4 - Miss Boyce / Mrs Radford-Hyland (Y3/Y4)
Class 5 - Mrs Griffin / Mrs Radford-Hyland (Y5/Y6)
For many sessions during the week the children are split into their year groups for different activities. We have a very talented group of teachers and a very experienced and able support staff with extra support in all classes.

We offer many extra curricular activities; music, football, netball, tag rugby, chess club, running club and gym club. We also have a very active band and choir and offer lessons in flute, guitar, violin, piano and brass (these lessons do cost extra but are subsidised by the school). The children in class 2 learn the recorder and the children in class 3 have the opportunity to have whole class brass tuition under the wider opportunities scheme through Somerset Music (free to the children).

In Key Stage 2 the children get the opportunity to go on residential school journeys to Kilve Court, Charterhouse and Pinkery Activity Centre in Somerset, as well as various European visits. These are activity based trips and great fun for the children.

As part of the curriculum the Key Stage 2 children go swimming for two terms to Goldenstones.

We have an active PTA – Ash Association who organise a variety of events throughout the year and fund raise very successfully for the school.
