GrayBar was formed in 1991 and manufactures a very successful and unique self-regulating railway point heating system and the largest, comprehensive range of cable accessories for railway infrastructure telecommunications, signalling and power cable applications.
GrayBar supplies a complete design authority, system manufacturing, supply and installation, training and commissioning service for point heating systems and is a fully accredited supplier to Network Rail, light rail and tram systems. The company is fully approved to ISO9001:2000 quality system.
Major projects include point heating on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link including St.Pancras light rail such as Docklands Railway and tram systems throughout the UK.
GrayBar manufactures a range of cable accessories for railway infrastructure and is the supply chain provider for Network Rail cable accessory requirements. Recent product developments include axle counting and a heating blanket system for stressing rails prior to welding.
