Halliford School

General information

Halliford is a warm and friendly place where
children settle quickly and make friends easily.
The strong emphasis on fostering respect for
others leads to considerate behaviour and allows
discipline to be managed with a light touch.
The commitment of the staff, the care taken to
understand the needs of each pupil and the close
relationship between the School and parents
combine to create a supportive environment in
which children flourish.

Every pupil becomes a member of a house. The
four houses provide an extra layer of pastoral
care and the focus for a wide range of
competitive activities.

Specialist tutors introduce each new generation
of Hallifordians into the ethos, values and
routines of the School. In their second year,
pupils are assigned a new tutor who will stay with
them until they have completed their GCSE
examinations in Year 11.

Sixth Formers are also looked after by specialist
tutors who have the experience to give sound
advice about university entrance and career
choices.

Halliford’s Visiting Chaplain is the Rector of
Shepperton. There is also a qualified School
Counsellor and a full time Matron.

The School’s own catering team take pride in
serving high quality, well-balanced and nutritious
meals which cater for almost all dietary needs.
