Smart-Pig was founded by students Shreiff Benaziza (University of Hertfordshire) & Tom Parks (University of Warwick) They were appalled at how Students were treated by the big payday loan companies, so created their own version that would help students out fairly. Smart-Pig is Safer for Students because:
-10-day Grace Period. Your loan won't incur a late payment fee or affect credit history within 10 days of the due date.
- Interest cap. Even if you run into trouble with your loan, there is a fixed cap of how much interest you can owe us. You can never owe us more than 50% of the loan amount in interest.
-No Rollovers. Our loans are not designed to get you into long term borrowing so we will never encourage this.
-Ethical Pledge. Our underwriting and collections team have your best interests at heart and will always listen and do what's right for you.
-Founded by Students. Smart-Pig is by students for students. No-one understands student lending like we do.
