Our Homepage. Little People Nursery is a private day nursery located in Wakefield, West Yokshire. WF1 2HZ. We offer full or part time places to children aged 0-5 years.Little People Nursery was established in October 1986, and is owned by Mr Robert and Mrs Heather Iveson. We are situated in Newton Hill, Wakefield on the main A61 road to Leeds; just a few minutes drive from Wakefield town centre. The Nursery is set in secure private grounds and is on one level. The Management team work together to ensure smooth running of the nursery. All staff members are known by his or her first names, thus creating a warm, caring and friendly atmosphere. We do observations of all the children, which are linked in to the profile folders. This is then used to develop planning and to help ensure we are applying all areas of the EYFS. We work alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, which envelops several ideas that play is key. Children are competent learners from birth and relationships with caring adults play an important role in their development. Free Nursery Places for Three and Four Year Olds. Under Government legislation, through the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnerships, funding has been identified to enable three and four year olds free places in a choice of settings. We are Ofsted Registered and have been awarded 'very good' 5 out of 5 star Food Hygiene Award.
