The Saddle Company design and manufacture saddles in Walsall, England. The company is owned by David Johnson, Master Saddle Maker and fitter of 45 years standing.
David is a very keen rider himself and understands the needs of the horse and rider. This has been paramount in the design and manufacture of our saddles... combining the very best of modern technology with traditional methods and materials.

The Saddle Company is committed to training our saddle fitters to a very high standard. They have a deep understanding of how our saddles fit and are able to advise riders on the best saddle for them, and their horse.

After initial introduction to the Saddle Fitting Training Course, our training and support is comprehensive and ongoing. This continues indefinitely as we develop our product range.

Our saddles are built on Tree Tec trees which are designed by The Saddle Company (and come with a ten year guarantee). All of our saddles are adjustable using The Saddle Company Templating Machine.

All saddles are made to a template for each individual horse to ensure a precise fit. The saddles can be retemplated and refitted at a later date as your horse changes shape. This can usually be done on site with you and your horse.
