Premier Teachers Ltd – UK teacher recruitment

Established in 2005 (as Acquire A Teacher), we are a dynamic teacher recruitment company based in Sunderland, just outside of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. We serve the North East of England, providing a friendly, high quality service to schools and teachers. We also provide high quality tutors to students and schools across the North East.
We pride ourselves in knowing our client schools and their needs and excellent relationships have been developed over the years after detailed client profiling following personal visits to our client schools. This enables us to match their requirements swiftly and we tailor our recruitment process to individual schools depending on their needs. We work to the Quality Mark standards to ensure vetting of teachers is carried out to the highest standards and we aspire to truly know our teachers so we can provide a friendly proactive service to them, ensuring we match their expectations and assist them in anyway we can.

Mike Donnelly – Director

Mike is a qualified Science teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience across schools in Sunderland and Hertfordshire. Director of the company since its inception, he has built up the company from a grass roots level to the successful company it is today.

Gary Terretta

Gary is very experienced as an ex-Primary Head Teacher. He was also Head of a PRU and a lead behaviour consultant for local authorities. Gary is our SEN and Primary Consultant.

Overseas teachers and placements

Our clients need keen teachers who may be newly qualified or experienced to take on long term and potentially permanent placements throughout the year.
We understand that a move overseas is an exciting prospect, but also a daunting one. We can ease your transition into UK schools by setting up telephone interviews with Head teachers and Heads of Departments. We can also assist you to find UK accommodation before arriving in the UK, provide orientation information and much more to facilitate your move. London and the SE of England is an ideal base to start your European travels as well. We can also place teachers in overseas schools in New Zealand, please contact us for details.
