S Walton Eyecare is a community centred, family focused independent opticians practice, located at 515 Stanhope Road, South Shields.
Established in 1926, it was re-opened by its present owner, Optometrist Kaye Winship in 2007.
The practice offers eye examinations, contact lens assesments and fittings, the provision of Spectacles, contact lenses, magnifiers and accessories.
Within the first two years of opening the practice was the recipient of two prestigious awards from The Entrepreneurs Forum and South Tyneside Enterprise Partnership.
We are accreditied with being the only opticians practice in South Tyneside to be part of the Diabetic Screening Program run by Sunderland Eye Infirmary., and are also able to provide specific Glaucoma Screening as a Enhanced Service.
Chiropody Services are available two days per week through our partner company Walk Eazy Chiropody.
