General information
Newcastle Tenants Federation was founded as an unincorporated association representing the interests of social housing tenants. It has evolved into a registered charity, which represents the interests of residents of all tenures, as well as owner occupiers.
The Federation has had a strategic funding relationship with Newcastle City Council since 1985, through the Housing Revenue Account (the Rent Account). A three year Service Level Agreement is now in place, which has given the organisation financial stability and ensured that council tenants are at the heart of the decision making processes regarding their homes.
We have an office at Fawdon Community Centre, in north Newcastle, and currently have three full time employees and four sessional workers.
