Re-live the days of the steam railway at Stephenson Railway Museum in North Shields. The Museum is home to George Stephenson's 'Billy' engine, and we hold lots of free events throughout the year.
Stephenson Railway Museum is open every weekend from Easter until end of October with heritage train rides on Sundays and Bank Holidays during that time (charges apply). The Museum is open seven days a week during school holidays (except Christmas holidays). Our opening hours are always 11am to 4pm and entry is free!
