The Electron Microscopy Suite at the Open University has the capability to analyse everything from brain tissue to rocks. In addition to transmission and scanning electron microscopy, the Open University electron microscopy team are world leaders in 3D reconstruction electron microscopy. The pioneering new technique is already being used in medical research to shed light on cognitive disabilities such as those in Down syndrome. The Electron Microscopy Suite along with the expertise of our dedicated electron microscopy team provides a world class resource which is available for use by researchers and industry.
