SIEVEMK Gateway is a charity dedicated to bringing hope to our communities in Milton Keynes. We seek to connect with local women and disadvantaged young people, and run programmes which will engage, train and provide them with the skills and opportunities they need to enter work or further education.

We started out in March 2007 as a Learning Centre primarily providing support to 13-18 year old in English, Maths and Sciene. We run literacy and computer courses for adults and particularly for those in our communities that English is a second language. We are now setup and geared up to run women's projects, youth training, a youth centre and a social enterprise hub - offering disadvantaged individuals everything from community events and drop-in youth clubs to apprenticeship schemes; and the chance to develop their own business ideas. We look to bring together different cultures and work against conflict and division.

In partnership with a wide range of firms and community organisations we are seeking to creating opportunities to overcoming obstacles such as poor language levels, a lack of role models, limited aspirations and low skill levels. We seek to provide processes that engage with the real needs of individuals. We seek to provide individuals with the confidence, employability skills and the all round development they need to reach their full potential wherever possible. Our Learning programme is making a real difference to individuals giving our learners adults real confidence.
