Diana Tonnison

General information

I am Diana Tonnison, a professional ceramicist and painter.
My work takes inspiration from the local land & sea produce as well as the excitement of the busy market aura.
What I love about creating this type of ceramics is that it brings focus to the times when it was all about the people, and their way of life, which was followed for hundreds of years.
What is inspiring to me when I start each piece of work, are the bold colours that they bring, the graceful shapes that are within them and the beautiful textures that can be created.

During my time as a ceramic artist i have won many awards, and a few of my best highlights are:
- Oxfordshire Craft Guild Fletcher Prize award

- 'Best Hand Built piece' at London Potters,
Westminster (2012)
- 'Best use of Colour' Prize at London Potters,
Westminster (2015)
