General information
York Sea Cadets is a registered charity and uniformed youth organisation dedicated to the development of young people here in the York area.
Based upon the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy we are led by a dedicated group of adult volunteers. We run a Junior Section for 10 & 11 year olds, and Sea Cadets are aged 12 - 18.
The Sea Cadets has amazing opportunities for personal development - by learning new skills and working in teams - we offer an environment where young people gain confidence and find inspiration. Where possible cadets can gain recognised qualifications in boating, adventure training, first aid and even BTEC qualifications and the Duke of Edinburgh award.
