The Glasshouse

General information

Opened in 2012, The Glasshouse is situated in the heart of Langwith College and being the only licensed social space, it is the life and soul of Heslington East.

Providing a relaxed social space during the day, The Glasshouse is the ideal place to catch up with friends, study and to grab a bite to eat. Whether it is enjoying one of our breakfast baps in the morning, grabbing some lunch from our Deli fridge or sitting down and having something from our daytime menu, The Glasshouse has something for you. We also offer a wide variety of specials; updating regularly to offer you refreshing and hearty meals.

In the evening The Glasshouse transforms into the social hub for students across Heslington East, offering late night bites as well as a cheeky cocktail menu to get your nights going. If you like your drinks less fussy we have a wide range of draught, bottles and spirits as well as a
range of soft drinks.

We’re also home of Marmite, YUSUBars’ very own ‘cheesy’ club night featuring in Weeks 4 and 8 of term.

The Glasshouse is part of the YUSU Commercial Services family and proudly runs on a ‘Not for Profit Just for Students’ ethos. Every £1 spent at one of our venues gets put back into the students’ union and your student activities!
