General information

RSM Stage Academy is a CDET Recognised Theatre School which provides great opportunity to learn, develop and work with industry professionals on a weekly basis. We promote hard work along with structure and discipline whilst keeping the fun element alive, in a great atmosphere and environment.

Our state of the art premises facilitates all classes and workshops. This provides a well equipped space for students to train to the highest level and to express themselves through Performing Arts.

RSM Stage Academy students receive training in the three key disciplines: Singing, Acting and Dance. The materials taught in weekly classes are alternated between Commercial and Musical Theatre genres. This structure broadens students’ knowledge, encourages versatility and shapes students into well-rounded performers.
We teach routines and songs, direct from touring shows and West End Theatres as well as current Commercial pieces of all styles; from Street Dance routines to RnB and Pop/Rock vocals.

RSM students are offered a variety of performance opportunities. Our Annual Showcase features all students performing a range of pieces, with the whole school brought together to create an outstanding variety show. Each year we also hold auditions for our West End/London Showcase. This allows selected students to perform with us at a prestigious London venue.

We hold regular workshops based on a wide variety of themes. Upon completion of these, students perform an in-house presentation for family and friends with footage available on DVD from some of our workshops.

RSM Stage Academy operates in conjunction with RSM Performers Agency, offering opportunities for representation within the industry. We represent performers of all ages who attend our Academy and those who solely apply to the Agency. This includes professional performers and those new to the industry. We are able to put our performers forward for a range of work from television to theatre. Application packs are available from reception and auditions are held regularly.

Students of the Academy benefit from a discounted price on Private Lessons. These are available in all three disciplines, with the flexibility to split lessons allowing multiple disciplines to be covered. Private Lessons are an excellent support to training received at the Academy, outside studies, auditions preparation or for general enjoyment and development.

As a CDET Recognised School, we are required to hold and implement numerous policies. This is to ensure the well-being of all students and the fluidity of the Academy.

All Staff and Guest Teachers hold an enhanced DBS clearance, have received relevant safeguarding and health and safety training.

RSM ensures all policies are fully implemented at all times. We feature on the website of the CDET alongside extensive and resourceful information on our Recognised School status.
