1. Company Profile
Blue Flame Service Ltd is a local firm based in Maryport, Cumbria, originally set up by Tim Kemp in 2001 and then in partnership with David Harrison in 2003. Over the past 14 years we have developed and grown into one of Cumbria ’s leading utility contractors providing first class plumbing, heating, electrical and renewable services. We pride ourselves on our outstanding craftsmanship provided by our highly dedicated and professionally trained staff of 43 comprising of plumbers, heating and electrical engineers. Our fleet of 23 fully fitted vehicles support all the services we provide covering the whole of Cumbria, Barrow to Carlisle, Whitehaven to Appleby.

As a local business, that has grown and developed from general plumbing work and a small team of three to where we are in the industry today as one of Cumbria’s leading utility contractors, we strongly believe in achieving and succeeding in all we undertake.

This is only made possible by keeping up to date and involved with the ever growing industry we are in. We strongly believe not only in providing the standard utility products and services but also now in doing our part as a company for the environment. We therefore have developed, educated, trained and kept our dedicated staff up to date with regular training and required certification to be able to supply and support our renewables sector.

Blue Flame is also a Worcester Accredited Installer, something only achieved over the years by installing not only a top brand appliance but also over 150 boilers a year. This enables us to offer 8-10 year guarantees on appliances installed.

5. List of Accomplishments
Blue Flame is not only a company that offers services and products but also support local clubs, initiatives and charities. Some of which are:
o Local youth football and rugby teams
o Local open age football and rugby teams
o Charities such as MacMillan who in turn provide a support some of us have personally relied on and without could not have coped. One example is LEJOG 2013 who raised £10 000 for MacMillan.
o Breast Cancer Care charity, one of which was The Highland hike & Bike event who raised £5000
o Supporting local emerging youth talent, one example being Jason Todd (BARLA Emerging Young Lions Germany Tour June 2013)
o Local golf club sponsorship
o Church donations
All of these initiatives and charities are taken care of and supported by a budget we set out each year to support and donate to them.

We also have an office wall which is dedicated to recognition of customer satisfaction of work undertaken by ourselves in the form of cards and emails.

Blue Flame has its own personal success story starting way back from working out of a garage to now having 4 warehouse units fully kitted with up to date computers and servers, hardware and software to be able to support our business and trade. We also have fully stocked stores for our plumbing, heating and electrical departments to deliver an efficient and professional end result for all our clients.

Blue Flame is not only proud of its existence in the local community and Cumbria by providing a service second to none but now also standing back and seeing those who we have worked for reap the rewards of the systems and installations installed.
• Our Biomass Renewable Projects have seen a considerable increase over the last year, converting customers from oil, LPG and even main gas fuels to benefit from drastic fuel savings as well as the battle to reduce our planet’s carbon emissions which we at Blue Flame Services also find an important factor in today’s world.
• Solar PV and solar thermal clients are benefiting already from their tariffs as well as our biomass clients.
• Boilers installed under the ECO and Affordable Warmth Schemes are making it possible for everyone to have an efficient system for hot water and heating, assisting in the reduction of fuel bills and and reducing the impact on the environment.
