Spurred on by the ever increasing hype and phenomenal prices being charged by fashionable high end ‘brand’ names for what is historically good natural available product – THE OIL HUT has stepped up to the challenge to compete on price whilst supplying a product as good as and as natural as those ‘prettily packaged’ –
Our aim is to offer Affordable Oils for Everyday Living – quality products that we can all afford and not saved up for ‘treats’ – adults and children alike – it’s the most obvious way to treat a busy modern life.
We have chosen to store our products in Aluminium bottles which promote a longer life for any natural oil by keeping it in the dark – this is the reason that many oils are sold in brown or blue glass bottles.
Our base oil is mostly Sweet Almond – this is luxurious oil which is perfect as a base – many of our competitors use cheaper alternatives. Sweet Almond contains large amounts of Vitamins E and K – meaning that this oil not only helps skin to regenerate and maintain elasticity, it also promotes better circulation. Additionally, Sweet Almond oil is a natural UV blocker, making it ideal for people who spend a lot of time out and about. Grapeseed oil is used in our bath oils, this carrier oil has a fine texture and is almost odourless, light in texture and is easily absorbed by the skin.
Aromatherapy is a therapeutic treatment dating back over 5000 years, combining massage and essential oils to enhance well-being, restore balance and encourage the body’s own healing powers. Essential oils are complete, pure substances extracted from flowers, trees, fruits and herbs.
Certain oils sooth and calm, relieving stress or nervous related disorders, whereas others stimulate and uplift the mind and body. Some Oils aid the circulation, some are capable of rejuvenating the skin, and others are used to affect various functions of the body such as digestion and menstruation.
Aromatherapy not only corrects deficiencies but harmonises body and mind by treating the whole person, promoting good health and a sense of well being.
Our oils can be used for massage or in the bath – When used in the bath add 10ml to running water and always take care as your bath may become slippery. Our bath oil has a small amount of P20 and Vitamin E to help it disperse more easily. Massage oil in sweeping movements towards the heart. Our essential oils all have a shelf life in excess of 12 months. However, as with any essential oil we recommend using it within 12 months of opening.
Bespoke oils can be made to order to treat a specific physical or emotional ailment by our fully qualified in-house aromatherapist.
