General information

The Smart Home Co. is owned and operated by Jess Carter and Steve Carter (no relation - sheer coincidence).

The business started when we were both working for another company, but realised that we weren’t fulfilling our true potential. We wanted to build better solutions and offer better support for our clients and be free of the constraints of a retail store.

Having the freedom to choose whatever products and platforms work best for our clients, rather than a ‘one size fits all’ philosophy, enables us to fully tailor our systems and solutions to fit each individual client.

We are experts in a wide array of technologies, including networking and WiFi, security, CCTV, access control, lighting/shading systems, comfort control, multiroom entertainment and home cinema. At the centre of all of this is home automation, or ‘smart home’.

We design, supply, install and program control systems that bring everything together under a single, simple-to-use interface, to make our customers’ homes easier to use and more efficient, comfortable, safe and enjoyable.
