Oundle Society

General information

The Oundle Society seeks to serve and to engage current and former parents, Old Oundelians, and anybody with a connection to Oundle School. It exists to bring people together in support and understanding of the School’s present activities, and its plans for the future. It works to acquire support, including financial support, for the School's capital development needs as well as raising funds for Bursaries in order that, increasingly, financial circumstances are less of a consideration than the willingness and potential to make the very best of what Oundle has to offer.

All day and boarding boys and girls are welcomed as automatic lifetime members of the Club when they leave the School, with no annual subscriptions.

All members receive free and for life, an annual copy of the Old Oundelian magazine (also available online: The Old Oundelian), which includes members' news and full details of forthcoming OO activities for that year, as well as an overview of School events. New members receive a Club tie or a silver charm. Through the Club's secretary, OOs may also seek advice from the School's staff on further education and career issues.

The Club is organised on an area basis with corresponding members in the UK and overseas who keep in touch with OOs in their region and give any help that they can, particularly to those visiting overseas. Many areas hold social events, in addition to a dinner held in the autumn in London.

A recent new initiative is the compilation of a House/Year representative network for every year of leaving from 1945 to the present day. Volunteer representatives will assist with the organisation/gathering of fellow Old Oundelian contemporaries for House/Year reunions, and other events.

Annual reunions are held in Oundle for OOs of a specific period, normally spanning two leaving years. This gives all OOs the opportunity to visit the School on a frequent basis. Further information may be found on the website.
