Alyth Bike Park Company Information
General information
29th September 2012
Development of the community land on Alyth Hill continues, there are plans for trees, paths and three phases of bike tracks (pump track, skills loop, and blue grade trail). We are now in the position of beginning to raise funds to complement the grant money that we have managed to secure.
Making Tracks is a sponsored cycle open to anyone on three routes starting and finishing at the community land. We are hoping that everyone’s combined total distance will cover the 906km from Land’s End to John o’Groats. There are also plans for a small event village at the start/finish area of all three loops, we hope to have the following attractions at the event village:
• Further information about the development of the community land
• BBQ
• Cake and Candy stall
• Local bike shops
• Dr Bike
• Dual Slalom Competition start 1pm
• Bike Art/Decoration
• Bike Skills Course
• Lead road ride (will contribute to our mileage total)
The routes will be open to ride from 9am to 5pm and the event village will be open from 11am to 5pm. Sponsorship forms are available from the Hub, the Dirliebane, The Spa, The Co-op, and Costcutters.
