Green Days Day Care

General information

Green Days Day Care is a community based day care service which caters for adults with a range of learning disabilities. We have a large allotment for growing vegetables and a growing collections of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs,chickens and a Shetland Pony.

We have called ourself a day centre without walls because we do not have a centre as such. We have based ourselves in the community of Bishops Lydeard and Cotford St Luke and are interested in becoming involved with the community in a variety of projects.

We are a needs-led service which is taking suggestions from our people, if anyone has any particular areas of interest we can incorporate this into their care-plan. For example cooking, or going to a football match.
we run trips during holidays favorites are Crealy, Watermouth Castle, Pennywell Farm and Wimbleball Lake .
We are involved in may community projects. See photos of the school project. We had a week residential last May which we are doing again this may 2014 and we have so many guys wanting to come along we are having another residential in September.
