Focusing on the gap between heavily patterned traditional rugs and designer contemporary carpets, while honouring the history of the craft, the styles are chosen by owner Alex Rees for an audience that appreciates uniqueness, true craftsmanship and exceptional quality in timeless pieces with which to furnish their homes.
Each of these beautiful, handmade 'modern classics 'is personally selected by Alex Rees (Rugs of Petworth founder) who regularly travels to Asia to meet the dealers and skilled artisans who often spend years designing, weaving and meticulously hand finishing a single piece.
Our showroom is in West Sussex, just 45 min. drive from London. We have a beautiful collection of traditional, decorative & contemporary handmade rugs and carpets. Friendly & helpful staff and home visits available.
