Erskine Eyecare

General information

In the 1920s Andrew A Erskine set up his opticians and chemist shop in Fochabers. He moved to Bridge of Allan in 1943 and laid the foundations for R S Erskine & Co where one of the three sites remain today. The Dunblane practice was founded by Andrew's son Roy in 1965 and with the 1967 opening of the Auchterarder branch, help was enlisted in the shape of the recently retired optician Gordon Logan. In 1970 the new partners acquired a practice in Crieff. Together they focused on expanding the business, working alongside each other until Roy retired in 1991. His legacy was then in the capable hands of Roy's son Niall and his wife Tracey, who oversaw the relocation to the bigger premises in Bridge of Allan in 2001 and Auchterarder in 2004. Niall and Tracey still run all of the practices today.
