General information

Founded in 2000 by Luigi Giannoccaro, Italian Sofa Specialists have been retailing quality Italian upholstery for over 15 years from their showroom in Preston, Lancashire.

However the origins of the business go back with its founder to Monopoli, a seaside town in the region of Puglia, Southern Italy. In 1985 Luigi moved to the UK and began to gain experience in the upholstery market, working in a retail environment at first, and then for several Italian manufacturers as an agent supplying retailers with Italian sofas throughout the UK.

In the year 2000 Luigi opened his first retail showroom, which soon became a family business when the next generation, Daniele Giannoccaro, Luigi’s son, joined the business in 2006.

What really drives the company is a passion for quality which is built within its DNA. Passion for the quality of the coverings in leather or fabric, passion for the aesthetic element, a passion for the brand and the consumer. The end result is innovative products which not only look and feel good, but are durable and will stand the test of time.
