We hold a constant array of events throughout the year. As well as being an event venue we also accept private and corporate bookings. Please send us an enquiry via our contact page.A Venue For all occasions The Weatherley Centre was opened on 6th October 1979 and is named after the late Herbert Weatherley, Formerly Managing director of Weatherley Oilgear Limited. In 1971 Mr Weatherley gave £150,000 towards the provision of a centre to provide recreational and leisure facilities for the inhabitants of the town and district.The Centre is situated a short distance from the london road/ Drove Road junction, next to Biggleswade Recreational Centre and Stratton Upper School.We are a community centre that is based in the Stratton School grounds. We have rooms and halls available for hire from a small committee room for 2 people to our Grand Hall that is up to 300. The Weatherely Centre is designed to cater for functions large and small. We have a big car park and facilities on site to be able to cater for every function. Lots of groups in the community call the Weatherley Centre home including Biggleswade Art Society, Ivel Towns Womens Guild, Play and Stay, Clubbercise, Zumba, Counselling, Zumba Gold, Flower Club, W.I , Gardening Club, Ceroc, Weight Watchers, Andrews Dance, Helen o Grady Drama, Britpop Academy, Disco Ducks and many many more. Mission Statement We aim to provide all members of the community access to a safe, welcoming place to come and meet. A place to come and meet. A place where people can learn, socialize in a safe and friendly environment. We provide a wide variety of resourses and services for the whole community regardless of sex, age, religion or race. We want everyone to come here and feel able to have a great event and also be respectable of others.Had my son's 7th birthday party there Saturday and Bernie was so helpful! I forgot two of the most important items, a knife for the cake and bin bags and she sorted me both! I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking to book for their event! Thank you muchly! x xHad our wedding reception here in November. The staff were all so lovely and so helpful. Had a wonderful time and the room looked stunning! Thanks to the girls for all their help! Would recommended anyone who wants a good party to go here! Have hold two events this last year at the Weatherley and can't fault the staff or building one bit. So easy to work with in planning and on the evenings. Bar well stocked and staff happy. We're lucky to have such a place I'm Biggleswade xI organised a wedding at this venue last weekend and the staff were very helpful. The venue itself is a lovely size inside with extra rooms that were available for use and a huge kitchen. Thank you to Jane and Bernie for your help and we look forward to booking this venue again for future events.
