Established in 1989 "Stoneleigh Home" is a family owned and managed concern which is registered to provide personal care to fourteen people of old age, male and female. Only a five minute drive from Pocklington, Stoneleigh is shadowed by the Yorkshire Wolds and nestles in spacious grounds within the village of Bielby. Our home is a modern detached residence set in four acres of carefully landscaped gardens, home to such wildlife as exotic aviary birds, barn owls, horses, donkeys, ducks, hens and a various selection of well fed garden birds. Our extended family of only twelve residents are fully accommodated on the ground floor. We encourage all residents to maintain the highest quality of life possible, their independence, privacy and dignity being of paramount importance. All staff provide the highest standard of care and housekeeping which we believe to be our residents right. Our guests will be able to relax in the knowledge that there is always someone to help - a cup of tea during the night is the norm not the exception! We believe it is the right of every resident, to receive the highest quality care and accommodation. It is the continuing aim of the home to provide a professional and efficient service to not only meet the assessed needs of all its residents but to exceed them. Our long-term goal is to obtain the highest possible level of satisfaction from our residents, relatives and representatives, and to be the leading residential home of its kind in the area. We constantly strive to improve the service that we offer our elderly residents. We value the thoughts and suggestions of our residents in relation to the improvement of their environment and implement these where possible.
