Our Beginnings

Our roots stem from a small co-operative of cafes. The founder’s café was part of this co-operative, their aim initially was to simply achieve economies of scale when purchasing catering goods but as their education grew so did their interest in coffee and a drive for the perfect espresso. As the co-operative grew its members required full support - The Devon Coffee Company was born.

Our Ethos

From our experience & growth from the café industry we have a full understanding of what a business owner needs. There are four variables in the production of a coffee based drink, we have built our company around supporting businesses in each of these variables; Coffee, Grinding, Extraction & Drink preparation.

Our Future

We continue to learn, change & share best practice with our customers & peers. We are currently in the process of restructuring our operation so our roasting will be split into 2 locations. From Plymouth we will roast & pack bespoke specialty coffee for trade customers & home brew coffee for retail purchase. From Bristol we will roast our most popular selling blends – this will guarantee that our customers will continue to receive high quality, ethically sourced coffee, freshly roasted in the Westcountry. We will also be introducing a Barista training room to our base in Plymouth Guildhall to help customers learn without distractions from their business.
