We are a family run business, founded in 1942. Husband & wife team, Gareth & Jenny Hardcastle now run the practice together with their associate Optometrist Maggie Cadwallader and a dedicated team of optical assistants and receptionists. Following a re-location to 4 & 5 Dogpole and extensive refurbishment work, the practice now boasts the latest technology to maintain and improve eye health. The emphasis of the practice has always been firmly on the health care of the eye. Jenny & Gareth are specialist Optometrists with additional qualifications in glaucoma detection and management, pediatric eye care and independent prescribing.
In addition, all three of our Optometrists undertake specialist clinics in the hospital. We are confident that Shrewsbury Optometry offers the very highest standards in clinical care and excellence.
