Tonbridge is an historic town, well known for its culture and heritage. Slade Primary School is nestled behind the castle, close to local churches, the River Medway and the local park, which are all ideal resources for the school to use to inspire and motivate children. We are keen to ensure that the journey to school and trips out of school are a safe and quality experience for our children and families, therefore the school fully supports the Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council’s Community Strategy:
Slade caters for children from 4 years to 11 years old and includes a Specialist Resource Provision for pupils with a Hearing Impairment. We currently have 375 children on roll. There are 13 classes in the main school and we are currently in a period of expansion.
The building comprises an Edwardian main block, four additional classrooms, a new Key Stage 2 building, small hall, large hall, library, music room and a mobile classroom and our SRP, which has two classrooms.
