Potters Bar Crusaders Sports Club was founded in 1948. The objectives of the Club were to promote various sports social and youth activities and to encourage sportsmanship at all times. This has led to the three strongest sections of the Club Youth Football Darts & Golf all of which are supported by a large social membership. In addition the Club plays host to a diving section that use the Furzefield Centre swimming pool. The Clubhouse is located beside the King George V Playing fields on Mutton Lane Potters Bar beside the Furzefield Astro turf pitch with a car park located in front of the Clubhouse. As a member's Club holding a registration certificate the Clubhouse provides refreshments and comfort facilities to members teams and supporters and holds a number of social activities to help fund the Club's activities. The building has been extended to provide better facilities to support the ever growing youth football section which has 19 teams and the infrastructure necessary to run a club of this nature and size. The Clubhouse is open after 5.30pm weekdays Saturday early evenings and Sunday afternoons.
