BMR was built on part of the abandoned Brecon & Merthyr Railway opened in 1859,finally closing in 1964.
BMR opened to passengers in 1980 and now runs to Torpantau, high in the Brecon Beacons on its 10 mile round trip through beautiful Welsh scenery.
