General information

As a 'One Stop Shop' we aim to meet the varied needs of women suffering domestic violence and work in partnership with a range of external agencies to ensure you can access relevant support and protection. We make no judgments on your situation, our purpose is to make women and children safe. Our purpose is to equip you with the knowledge, information, advocacy and support to make informed choices.

This page has been created to raise awareness about domestic violence. We will be posting about upcoming events, free courses that we provide, and general information and stats about domestic abuse, and how you can help yourself, friends and family members. We aim to keep you up-to date with any fundraising events at My Sisters Place. We are a small charity, making a big difference and we would be grateful if you could please like, follow and share our page to as many friends as you think would be interested! What we do:
We can help you understand your rights and can help you through legal processes, personal safety, debt, housing problems, immigration difficulties, child contact issues and divorce.
Feeling safe is as important both physically and emotionally. We can work with you to develop a personal safety plan.
You may qualify for a range of security measures on your home (see Sanctuary Scheme).
We also offer a range of therapeutic services including counselling and trauma recovery work. We offer access to women's groups such as the Freedom Programme and Choices Programme.

My Sister’s Place is also committed to campaigning and raising the awareness of domestic violence. We provide a range of training courses to services and community groups, and facilitate a service user group to ensure that service user’s voices are at the heart of decision making.
